I have been waiting over two months to publish these photos. A friend that I have known for quite a few days asked me late last year to do a shoot for the new website promoting the Showcase and Visions Gentleman’s Club. Be sure to check their site out, but as it is now on line I wanted to share some more photos from the shoots. Over 50 photos posted from the two short shoots. Would love to do some full shoots with each of the ladies.

Normally I just post about recent shoots I have done or the occasional rant. Today I wanted to let folks know about a couple of shoots I actually did several weeks ago. Was actually a two part shoot first one back in February and second early March. Reason I had not posted more than 1 or 2 teasers was it was for a new site that just went live yesterday, www.VisionsShowcase.com below is a snapshot of their Gallery where you can see larger versions of these lovely ladies. I had a blast shooting with the ladies and hope to work with them all again in the future.

I first started going to Visions when I was a young kid barely 21. Not sure exactly when I started going to Showcase. Since then it moved from the corner of Governor’s and the Parkway to across the parking lot from Visions. Together they employee some of the most attractive ladies in the area and two of the nicest crews around as well. More than a handful of the folks between the two clubs I have considered friends for a decade or more. I don’t party near as much as I used to, but I still consider them two of my favorite places to have fun. I spent Mardi Gras shooting with a new model I met off of Model Mayhem; http://www.modelmayhem.com/2172689. She was a lot of fun to work with and we were very pleased with the photos. Here is one of the few dozen posted from the shoot.

Over the past few weeks I have been shooting for a new site that should be live any day now. Soon as I can I will be posting links to the new site where my photography of about a dozen lovely ladies will be shown. After it goes live I will be posting exclusive shots here as well.

On the home front since the start of this year I have been working on a new studio space that has been tested and is ready to start fully using. I have already seen it will work well during the cooler months, but want to squeeze in few more shoots before have to prep it for summer and test it in 100 degree temps. With the way Alabama weather is the heat may be here in a few days or several weeks away, but with temps already hitting 80 have a feeling we may be in for a scorcher by July.

I have a few shoots already scheduled and few more tentative ones, but I am interested in working with a few more models. Right now my schedule is filling up, but I still have openings.

Server Upgrades mar 26-30

Between March 26 and 30th our hosting company is doing some major upgrades and service may be limited for a few minutes. Everything should be behind the scenes, but there may be some visible glitches.

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

Overall 2010 has been a slow and pretty bad year. Heck most of the past decade has been a royal pain, but past few weeks have been a lot of fun despite a lot going on. For the first time in over a decade actually looking forward to the new year and optimistic that it truly will be a good one. Still not shooting a lot, but that is slowly changing.

It has been quite a while since I shot anything to post on here. I am not back in full swing yet, but I am working on it and just uploaded a small album from a short test shoot with a new model yesterday. Be sure to post on the guestbook and let us know what you think. The more folks that like it the more likely we are to shoot more often.

I decided it was time for a few changes to DBatesPhoto18up. While I have done the first few changes I hope to do a lot more in the upcoming months.

First things first I hope you will like the new look of the Home Page. Instead of having a useless blog buried I have switched over to a word press blog and put it front and center. This will help with updates which I expect to come more often. It will also give you a little more fresh content once things get going.

Second change is the photo gallery. The classic Albums have been rebuilt with new versions of many of the images you may have already seen along with several new photos only seen by the models and me. Another folder, TVP, has been added to the Latest Shots Album. This is a bit of a grab bag album with photos of some of my favorite models that I have shot over the past decade.
